ANNOUNCEMENT: MTTC Training
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) shall conduct a Meteorological Technicians Training Course (MTTC). The course shall beconducted for five (5) months, whole day session and scheduled to start on 05 August 2014. It shall be composed of theoretical and practical phases.
The course is open to PAGASA employees, personnel of other National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) and other interested applicants, who meet the following requirements:
A) Not more than thirty five (35) years of age, physically and mentally fit;
B) Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, natural and allied science, who have completed/earned units in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, college physics, chemistry and information technology; and
C) Pass the qualifying examination.

Encouraging young people to learn more about the weather and climate system and to contribute to action on climate change, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) celebrates this year's World and National Meteorological Day (WMND) focusing on the youth with the theme "Weather and Climate: Engaging Youth".
